Thankful...
#1
Since it's thanksgiving and all, I just wanted to give honor and credit to the Lord for all the amazing blessings we have had this year. Family is doing great, work is doing great, and this forum has been an excellent witnessing tool, not to mention a whole lot of fun and a way to meet really cool folks with their priorities striaght (God, Jeep, etc...).

So, thank you all for making me feel welcome. I'm grateful for you all, I'm grateful Jon gets to drive a yeller jeep a little bit more now, grateful that I'm not the only one with tube bumpers, and grateful that you all started this particular forum.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Happy Thanksgiving!!

Just so you can amaze your family today heres a popular Thanksgiving myth

The Pilgrims Ate Turkey

What did the Pilgrims eat at their Thanksgiving festival? They didn't have corn on the cob, apples, pears, potatoes or even cranberries. No one knows if they had turkey, although they were used to eating turkey. The only food we know they had for sure was deer. 11(And they didn't eat with a fork; they didn't have forks back then.)

So how did we get the idea that you have turkey and cranberry and such on Thanksgiving? It was because the Victorians prepared Thanksgiving that way. And they're the ones who made Thanksgiving a national holiday, beginning in 1863, when Abe Lincoln issued his presidential Thanksgiving proclamations...two of them: one to celebrate Thanksgiving in August, a second one in November. Before Lincoln Americans outside New England did not usually celebrate the holiday. (The Pilgrims, incidentally, didn't become part of the holiday until late in the nineteenth century. Until then, Thanksgiving was simply a day of thanks, not a day to remember the Pilgrims.)

Family and the outdoors is a good one. How bout health and an easy life... compared to lots. Jonathan's thankful that he gets to drive the Jeep more, too.

I had one of the best T-days ever. It was just me, my sister, and my mom and dad... I put up lights and the tree while my mom and sister cooked. The food was good. I got to sleep on the couch for about 30 min. Its was good.
