If it weren't for bad luck...

So, I wasn't even wheeling, and I blew up my Dana 35 tonight. The carrier cracked in half and looks to have chewed up the majority of the gears inside as well. And this vehicle is my DD so I am in desperate need of a repair or replacement asap.

My dream fix is that someone as a D44 laying around that has 3.73 gears and is ready to bolt in to a 01 TJ. But I am open to any suggestions at this point, as long as I can keep the cost down.

Please help!

Yep. Wasn't wheelin' or even romping on it. But I have been abusing it for the last 7 years so I imagine it was getting pretty tired of me.

Hey was it making popping sounds before it blew up? Thats what happend to my truck it was like pop corn popping. lol

Any updates on this? did you get that 8.8 installed?
