There's a Circle K at I-17 and Carefree? I thought it was just a Chevron there? If I can't find you guys, I'll be at the cleanup site. See ya in the morning.

Just got home. We had a good crew. We hauled out 50 large trash bags in our HG4x4 group alone.

Hey Virgil, Chris, Mike and Bob... it was great to finally meet you guys. Special thanks to Bob for letting us use his truck to load up all of the trash!

I think we made a difference out there. The dumsters filled up pretty quick...

99.9% of the trash we picked up was from shooters... targets, shells, bottles, cans, a propane tank, aerosal cans, etc. It was a shame to see all of the trash out there that is for sure. The hardest thing I found to pick up was the shredded phone books that were shot up.

Thanks for putting up with my crew... I brought the kids and my father in law to help out. They did ok for quite a bit but I had to get them out of there when they started to get restless.

It felt good to make a difference out there and I love to teach my children (ages 6 & 3) that they can make a difference too...

Talk to you soon,
B

yep, had fun today. This was the first cleanup Ive attended and I was glad to see all the people out there helping. Nice, that the BLM and the AZ off highway amabasdor was so organized with the dumpsters, shovels, trash bags, drinks and pizza.

Definetely sad to see all the trash left at the shooting sites. I know most of us are really concious of packing it in and out on the trail, hopefully that spreads to the shooting community too

Glad I went. I'd like to do more of these in the future.

We had plenty of trash bags and shovels/rakes. For future trips, 5 gallon buckets and maybe some boxes for the larger/heavier stuff. A trailer with sides would be good too.

Thank you all for the help. From the reports I received the HG group had the best representation out there.

Received some pics from Mary Skordinsky with the BLM. She had asked if she could take some pictures of the my kids helping out. I wonder if they will make it on to one of the sites or flyers?
