102 was the marriage thing.

I can't stand it when the news reports so early, you think they'd learn from past mistakes.

...two weeks ago. I need to keep my attention off the media coverage today. I think I'll have a heart attack if I watch all that garbage.

I voted by mail. I don't want to wait in line, but I've been curious as to what would happen if I went to my polling place and tried to vote again.

'I Voted Sticker' = Free Starbucks Coffee, Ben & Jerry's, and More

Nov. 4, 2008

Free donuts, chicken sandwiches, coffee and ice cream are available for people who vote today, according to a number of corporate Web sites.

All you need to do is show your "I Voted" sticker, and the food is yours.

One caution ... not all of these chains' restaurants are participating in this promotion. But if you're thirsty or hungry, it doesn't hurt to try.

Some examples:

Chick-fil-A ... A free chicken sandwich.

Krispy Kreme ... A free star-shaped donut.

Ben & Jerry's ... a free scoop of ice cream, between 5 and 8 p.m.

Starbucks... a free tall coffee (one per customer).

And for those planning to splurge a bit on dinner, Morton's steak restaurants will offer their Presidential martinis for $11 this evening. That's $1.50 off the usual price.

I had to lie to vote.

I went to the place I voted last time that is listed on my voter's registration card. In AZ you don't have to have your current addy on your DL as long as you change it online as I had done when I had moved 2yrs ago. My addy on the reg card was old too but they had me on the list at that precinct. Even so, the lady told me vote wouldn't count because I confirmed neither ID had my current address and to go to another line. They asked the same Q's at the next table. Today my vote counted.
