I was one of the lucky ones that got to work for most of the day on the 24th. I spent the day surfing the web and playing put put golf with a course we set up around the cubes.
I had told my parents that if they didn’t want to have a Christmas party then come on over and we will do pizza hot chocolate and a movie. That some how turned into “Rob and Kristi are hosting the family party this year”… ???? It ended up just being my parents, one of my cousins and his parents. We never did see the movie. We just sat around and talked till almost 11.
After they left I realized I needed wrapping paper. Off to the 24 hour Walgreens. It was packed!!! Not just with people that needed one thing… People were buying all their presents at 12:30 am…
Christmas day was relaxed. Spent the day over at my parents house where I got part of my zombie plan. I got a Mossberg 500 6 shot 12gage. I love it! Kristi got me a air tool kit because she rocks. I also got a killer map of Moab from Mike that is a hit with everyone that sees it!
All in all it was a good Christmas.

I worked C-eve too but alone so no golf. Closed up shop after the driver's picked-up. Spent the rest of the night cleaning my place just in case the out of town guests end up needing to stop by and "see what Michael's amounted to."
During the process I found to my surprise that somehow my Sirius Sat subscription was still good. Didn't take me long to not care again. Man I wish RadioU could pump through there.
Sunday I woke, cleaned another room and then went over to my Mom's around noon. Just her and husb, his friend, and Team Yellow. Food, puzzle, and movie (I got "Lars and the Real Girl" and "Punch Drunk Love") for the rest of the eve. I'm wearing two of my Christmas shirts right now.
Working today, just got new printer in finally. Also just sent Randy a few things in the mail ;)
Special Christmas thanks for all my friends I've met here and back in the beginning.

Christmas Eve works sucks.... doesn't make it feel like Christmas Eve should feel. Just worked 1/2 day til 1:00 so that wasn't too bad. When I got home, I straightened our place and wrapped some gifts. Jonathan picked up his mentee and brought him back to our place so he could give him an electric guitar for his Birthday/Christmas present (It's sad 'cause I don't think he ever really gets any presents because of his family's financial situation) Then we went to the Christmas Eve service with the brother & sister in law, hung out at their house afterwards and headed home before midnight. Christmas day we slept in and watched It's a Wonderful Life (a tradition of Jonathan's since college) Then we headed to my mom's house and from here it's the same story as Michael's :P Even though this year finances are tight for us, we were able to make it a nice Christmas (my idea of a great Christmas is when I can buy people lots of gifts) Hope everyone else had an enjoyable family/friend-filled day!

I too had to work 6hrs on C-eve :(

On the way home I stopped at Frys Elect. near Az Mills but Jen a new 22" monitor, it was their last one and also their display so they gave me 5% off and also escorted me to the NEXT open register so I by-passed about 45min wait in line, got in & out of there in 30min :)g)
Then stopped @ Walmart to grab a few things got lucky too and made a quick trip in & out.

We did a family dinner & gift exchange that night too, had 22 people in here of that 22, 10 were kids 8|
My 4 were NOT happy with how I wrapped their iPod nanos :)g) (Thanks again Mike!!!!)
I ended up with a 16" Craftsman chain saw AND a new 3 peice tool cabient (WOW WOW OMG WOW)
Christmas was great had more family over minus the kids so was more an adult thing but was great to see my Family this year for Christmas!

For the first time in many years I did not work on C-eve. I just hung out at the hospital till around 7 when everyone met up at my brothers house to do our traditional gift exchange. Only this year we got gifts for all the kids instead of eachother.

Christmas morning I had Aubrey and spent most of the morning laying in bed with her watch her play with new elmo that Santa gave her. We got dressed and headed to the hospital to see my mom. I later ended up back at my brothers for our 2pm Christmas dinner. Hung out there talking and playing games with my neices till around 6pm. I picked Aubrey back up from Jen and headed over to my Uncles where I spent the rest of my Christmas.

It was really weird not having my mom there C-eve and on C-morning. This year I did not get a single gift to open on Christmas but it was one of the best in years. My family was closer than they have been in years and it wasnt about the gifts.

All in all, I cant complaine.
