Yep you guessed it, I'm in it now too. Got layed off last Wednesday, which I new was comin as our building was being shut down in the next 12 months so they could ship all the manufacturing to Mexico. I was hopin that since my department wasn't goin til later this year that I could survive but I had the least amount of seniority which equals the smallest severance package so I got it along with 4 others from our 22 person group. There is a slight chance I could get asked back sub-contract to aid in the transition of my department but I would so love to tell them @#$%-NO!
I have a few leads on potential jobs but potential doesn't pay the bills. Fortunately Cristina allows us to maintain a simple lifestyle so it doesn't cost much for us to survive. This will hamper our vacation plans this year at this point however.
I've got my business running, the license is in transit,
a website; 4WD HEADQUARTERS a logo and enough work to keep me busy full time through the middle of April.
Hope you all are doing well.
