I have a new shift

kind of upset

back half days working weekends

I really really liked my old schedule mon - wed every other thursday

just realized i have to redo my vacation for moab too. hopefully they reapprove it.

i guess i should be glad i still have a job

I hate being at the whim of an employer for money and not really having a backup plan

start my new shift april 23rd

thur - sat every other wed

gotta list some of the positives so i dont get too bummed out

closer to home
saves about $3 a day in gas ($42 a month with gas at $2 a gallon)
manager actually in the building so its easier for them to notice the extra work I do
more walking at work to other building will make the day go faster
have to learn a new application

now because of contractual agreements between amex and ibm Im suppose to keep working here doing the 60 hour weeks until they figure out whats spose to happen

Telling my manager at 8am today that June 30th is my last day

Have a phone interview tomorrow at 10:30 with the info security team from amex tomorrow. That is my ideal job, id love to be back with american express doing security tests

it went good. It was just the initial screening type of call, asking me my background and info stuff. Its the same band (30) as my old job with Amex and he said theyd have no problem meeting my pay requirements. (maybe I shoulda asked for more!)

He said he was going to forward my resume to the hiring manager and I should know next week If I have a second interview
