Rigs of Rods: One fo the coolest games ever.
#1
....as far as free PC games go. I came across this a couple days ago and think it is a totally cool game. Imagine a free 3D game where you can freely drive, Big rig trucks, trailers, Bobcats, cranes, custom rock crawlers, muscle cars, boats, planes, jets, tow trucks, bikes, fire vehicles, police cars, military vehicles, and everything in between on any terrain you choose. Sounds cool right?

Just check out some of the things they have out there!

As you can see I focused more on the crawlers of the game, but there are so many other vehicles you can choose. It acts just like a simulator, in which everything reacts as realistically as possible. Now, if only I could get it to work with my system I'd be all set! :)=) Here's where you can download it. You have to download the main game which comes with a few vehicles but you can add to your collection by downloading other vehicles/trailers/landscapes ect. separately.

Looked it up on the forum. Looks like I'm missing a XP SP

Yeah I got the same error 3 with version 0.36.1 so I installed Directx10 and Microsoft Visual C++ but still came up empty handed. Then I installed both versions 0.35 and 0.34 but got an error message saying "not enough memory in D3d9" Looked it up (turns out it's a graphics related program) so I though I'd install D3D10. That didn't work either. I've got a few things left that I can do, upgrade my RAM to 1 or 1.5GB or install a different graphics card. Too bad my system doesn't support dual core. I'd have it in the bag if it did. lol

Just tried XP SP and It said "the expected version of this program was not found". Back to square one for me!:( Let us know if it works for you.

I had to dwnld the SP from MS and then reinstall DirectX and then I was good to go.

Maybe I just suck, but I couldn't keep my vehicle going in a straight line for the life of me. Then I'd flip and be done.

So you're saying uninstall DirectX, download the SP and it should recognize it? Then once that's over reinstall directX.

Eh I don't know. I'm just saying I did SP first, then Active and it was golden.

And which service pack? SP1, 2, or 3? I already have SP3.

EDIT: nevermind, SP1a and SP2 have to already be installed to have sp3.
