its been awhile... Do animals have rights?
#1
Its been awhile since we had one of these posts.

Heres something I have been thinking about recently

Do animals have rights or are they subject to our rule?
#2
Subject to our rule. We are responsible to be good stewards, however, and not abuse that authority, but animals don't have "rights".
#3
The furry cute ones do (rabbits, squirrels), but not the ugly ones (roaches, spiders)

If they are subject to our rule does that mean I can skin and eat my dog if I want to?

Yes. I would suggest killing it first, but that's just because of the squirming factor while skinning. Doesn't taste too good, either, but enough salt and pepper makes a big difference.

According to State law Im not allowed to do that though. Although I am allowed to kill a cow, chicken or pig I raise.

So according to the state does that mean that not all animals are subject to our rule?

Because animals have no rights they are free to be descriminated against by the society they live in. This means in ours, the tastier ones move to the front of the line, while the cuter ones are off the proverbial meat hook

Legally, no. they can't read or talk so they can't understand us and I don't understand them. Example - Tell my dog that it's illegal to bark after 10 PM....he doesn't understandand and does it any way.

By Birth, survival of the fittest or the right to do whatever until something puts a stop to it. Example - Deer have the right to do as they please..unless stopped by a wolf, pack of coyotes or a high powered round.

Id say its a little of both. The state gives them certain legal rights such as a pig most be stored in a crate that it is able to stand up in.

Birth some would argue they have rights as well. Otherwise if we go survival of the fittest then there would be no crime against abusing an animal or other acts.

The firefighter SHOULD have gotten in trouble, but not because the sheep had rights, but because he was a sick, twisted man. If he was doing this where people could see him with an apple pie, it would be an issue too... but not because the pie has rights. If he was doing it with himself... oh never mind. You get the point, troller...

So if he was in his house alone it would have been okay?

No, Chris. Let me be really clear. Men should not have sex with sheep.

but I thought you said animals were subject to our rule and they didn't have rights? If animals have no rights then man can do what they please

Sometimes those animals do provoke. We have a saying, "barnyard eyes," where I'm from.

LOL I hate when you twist things, but I just can't help but respond. Animals are subject to our rule, but we have a responsibility to be good stewards. Yes, man can do what he pleases... the beauty of free choice, and the curse. The issue with the sheep sex has to do with sin and perversion rather than animal rights. Even with the "barnyard eyes" Mike craves so much, that doesn't make it right, even though he could do it. Bush Dawg however... hey. A man's got to do what a man's got to do and a dog humping a leg is powerful mojo indeed, my friend. :cool)
