Mount Graham - Labor Day Wknd
#1
Went southeast again this Labor Day for the 10,000' mount of green and streams. Last year was so great, we had to go again. This time we invited some people from church and had about 15 for the turnout. Dana (Yellowsub) and I left early Friday to secure a big enough undeveloped spot so everyone could spread out comfortably.
It worked out well. We hiked around for the better part of the days, caught the sunset, then fired up some doggers at camp. Rain did what it did last year- about an hour around noon and an hour in the eve. It kept everything green and the falls flowing and the ponchos kept us relatively dry on the trails. Not as many mushroooms but some good wildflowers. Signs of bears but no sightings. Other wildlife seen more at night.
Plenty of pics later.

Day one we set up camp
Day two we hiked Cunningham Spur and Big Creek Falls trails. Then Dana and I drove over to CP Flat Loop and hiked out to look for bears and see the sunset.

Mmmmm flowers:P Good job on capturing different waterfalls/views. I would think it'd be hard to take pics of the same stuff but make the pics look different. They are all so perty! I think I like the first yellow flower and then the pinky/purple one the best (for flower pics). I luv me some blurry background.:)=)

Thanks.
Much less time when the cloudy sky is helping diffuse the light thus helping the highlights and colors on the ground. When the sun came out, I used the Cirular Polarizer to acheive the same and to lessen the light, allowing for longer shutter speeds on the water flowing shots. On a couple of them, I actually stacked two CPL's for that reason.
I also used a ND Grad on two of the non-sunset overlook shots b/c the sky was more exposed than the ground.
