How would you invest a medium sized amount of money?

Investing in real estate still seems interesting to me. Home prices are super-low. Good time to buy.

I've always wanted to start my own business, but I'm not a risky person. Not at all.

$100k into a mutual fund with 10% return does seem safe in the long run.

one of my longtime friends from church is a financial advisor Ill PM you her number

Who is this "Eckman" we are supposed to seduce?

Great Alan. Take your shirt off and all the spamming freaks come out of the woodwork. I think in his broken English, he was trying to ask you to show him your "ekman".

I choose to take that as a compliment, V.

What do you buy in the current market? I'm not so sure I trust investing in real estate or the stock market. I hear a lot of commercials about buying gold. Is cash even stable? What about goods lke guns and ammo? I'm going to buy a case of AR-15s and a pallet of ammo. That will always be worth money.

I was searching for the thread to post about how the stock market is crashing today and found this one. I'm still unsure of where to place new investments. I have invested a little into gold which seems to be going up. I think I'm up about 12% on that in the last year. Guns and ammo also seems like worthy investments. haha. Which rifle should I buy next? Where else do you put money these days?

next big purchase for me once I have the new job is 2 rental homes. Paying cash for both of them so rental income will be almost all profit (minus tax, insurance and repairs)

We've been tempted to move and keep the current house as a rental. I really don't want to move though. Staying put for now.

PS. Where's the thread about the stock market crashing?
