Looks good to me, I'll be there. Great write up too. :)

mind if me and the kids tag along? We're in if you'll have us.

Come on

It looks a little tight. Any thoughts on a 4 door JK in the narrow parts?

The TJ we took is on 35x12.50's and the distance tire edge to tire edge is 74 and 3/8"
There wasn't any danger of the walls hitting if attn was paid. At the tightest you'll have to go up on it a little bit which could lean your rear top towards it. We can look out for you, come on out.

...or just hang back with me & Chris bringing up the rear. If it gets too tight, we'll either grease the sides or back out and take a different route that meets back with everyone else. I haven't put a tape on my sidewall to sidewall distance, but I'm pretty sure it's more than 74"

I have a couple buddy's that tentatively want to roll with us.

They drive those weird jeeps with frames. :p

Can we add a couple lifted TJs to the mix?

Wranglers that can hold their own sound good.

So is this too tight for an XJ?

From the description.

Spare Tire Canyon is a relatively tame trail for narrow vehicles; anything wider than a Cherokee (XJ) and you'll do no more than wedge yourself in the canyon real good. Rumor has it a Humvee attempted this and wedged in the canyon so bad that a helicopter was needed to remove it.

Thanks Scott
I have pics somewhere of a Jeep and then a Cherokee at SC Squeeze Rock. The Chero actually had more room than the Jeep.

One of my buddy's bailed. Other guys is confirmed.

See you all at 9am tomorrow! I'll be in the dirty cherokee with 2 munchkins in the back seat, buddy in a clean white TJ on 35s.

Thanks mike for the info. I still hope to be at the meet up but with 13 jobs on the board it is hard to say. As long as everything goes good, knocking on wood, i should be there if not i will meet on the trail. Way it is looking for me this may be my last group trip in the daylight. I will become a vampire and hit the night runs like crazy.
