Set out early Saturday morning to find my mom a birthday present.... she's been wanting a cool log to carve out the center and make into a planter.

nice, looks like a fun time

how are you carving it?
#104
Cutting it into two pieces, then i'll be cutting out the center of it so that my mom can use it as a planter.

Something like this...

Good stuff mike. It was fun watching the adventure on Instagram.

Funny that you went to SLC. I missed you there by a week.

Set out yesterday morning early to run Red Creek and hang out in the river for the afternoon... unfortunately my stock Jeep was not up to the task. What I remember being a "kinda hard" section was now requiring lots of clearance, big tires, skids, sliders, lockers, etc.. Having only some of that I opted to turn around..

Did the winter rain mess with it - or did it get "enhanced" by some people?

When we ran it in my old rubi it was passable stock

Rain. The long narrow section is a huge rock garden with water flowing through it. lots and lots of diff catchers. Even getting to that point I caught my sliders a couple times pretty good.

Went back out to the Cliff House this past weekend.. took some first timers with me and then completed the entire loop on Sunday instead of back tracking like last time. Right Knee still hates hiking but whatev. Weather was perfect, and the desert was colorful with all the wild flowers and green.
