megan was offered a new job - yay! - but would mean some adjustments at home
#1
Thought this was pretty cool but it would require some big changes at home too..

She would move to a full time position working 9 - 5 with benefits. Her salary would also double
But has a few things to think about...

- She would have to take a week long trip out to Indiana in October to learn the ins and outs of the company. I think I can take time off from his work to go out there with her.

- She would we working longer hours, so this means less time spent with Emma and a little more time spent at daycare for her.

- She would be one of the faces for the company and have to become a real people person. Would also need to attend some conferences and maybe make some trips to visit with clients...although this would not happen a lot.

- She would most likely not pursue a career in teaching any longer. The pay would be close to the same as a new teacher and would be her career path

-This is much like a ministry as she works along side of churches.

Another thing is if I don't take this position, she will no longer be working for them anymore because they will be looking for one person to take her current job and do the customer service at the same time.

So lots to think about.. If you can remember to pray that we make the right decision that would be great :)

I've got you on the prayers, too.

And not to sway but some wisdom from age:
1. Money is good to have around, it makes things A LOT easier.
2. The time you have with your children is long, and yet it's limited.
3. There is a very fine balance that you must find; every parent, and every child is different.

Think of it as one of God's many Jigsaw Puzzles laid out in front of you. You'll know when the pieces fit, and you'll sense when they don't quite fit. Listen to the voice that tells you when it isn't quite right, it's the more important message.

May You Be Blessed With a Clear Decision.

If Megan takes the teaching route, would she be a full-time teacher? Teachers put in way more than a 40 hour work week, making their salary ($/hour) not so hot.

we'll pray for ya. my wife just took a new job that has changed our lives quite a bit. she got a job at the hospital in the er but shes in a pool working 2nd or 3rd shift. i can say it pays better but i dont see her near as much anymore. God has a plan for all of us and sometimes it just hard to see that.
