Stupid Bees win this round....
So Sunday afternoon I was working at my parents house (I do the yards). I had just come back from the dump after taking all the trimmings down there to dispose of them. I had the dog with me at the time and when I pull up to the house my dad was hosing off the driveway so i parked in the street. I let the dog out and then walk over to talk to my dad. As I am waking over something hits me in the back of the head... then there is a bee in my face. I swat at it and then there are a bunch of bees all around me. Im running, swatting, and screaming like a little girl at this point. My dad turns the hose on me and that just pissed off the bees so they go after him. We run for the door. I get stung under my eye while my dad and the dog are fine.
The bees have a hive in the house next to my parents house. The house is in foreclosure and vacant. We give it a little time and then I go outside to see if the bees are gone or even just calmed down. Nope. They come after me again and I run for the door. We call a few people and the fire dept comes out. They look at it and say "nothing we can do about it and they seem to have calmed down" About this time the bees go after the firefighters who make a run for their truck. :))
I give it about an hour and one of my friend show up to use the drill press in the garage. Im setting tuff up and the bees seem to be done. My friend heads out to his car to get his gun when I see him swatting at bees and making tracks to the front door. The bees were after him now too.
We decide to take the drill press to my place and do the work bee free. I grab the drill press and make my way to the truck only to run into more bees. The drill press gets tossed in the back of the truck and I run for the door. My Dad grabs my keys and makes a dash to my truck swatting at bees along the way. He makes it and moves my truck down the street then runs for the door.
Me and my friend Brian make a run for it and get to our cars with bees all around us...
Black flag and a long pool pole will be the death of the bees...
