Very happy Tj
#1
Hey Guys,

Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. My name is Brian Happel and I own a 2000 Tj that I'va had since it was new. Ijust recently got into wheelin' heavy. I've been running a RE 3.5 lift with 32 Mtr's until I found the write up on the DIY Highline. I pounded down a few and started cuttin. In the write up, when they say that you take the fenders on and off alot, they where not kiddin. It turned out great. So good that I am now running 35 Mtr's. I only need about a 1.5" bump stop addition.

It looks great Brian. I copied these directions on how to post pics from another site.

1) go to photobucket.com
2) register (it's free for the using, I've got 182pics on my free account so far with no quota cut off yet)
3) make an album & start loading pictures there
4)as you see the pictures in your album you will see below each picture:
"url"
"tag"
"img"
5) left click on "img" to highlight it
6) then right click your mouse & select "copy" from the little window & left click again
7) go to the forum reply page & right click your mouse & left click paste
8 ) click submit button
9) Done!

Wow Scott, I think you need more steps lol.
He said attach not link.
Brian you actually did it correctly. The link was there. To make the pic show, after you've uploaded the attachment click the arrow next to the and select the image listed there for it to show up in your thread as it does now.

You did a great job on the mod for sure. You know you did it right when it comes out looking factory as if nothing was done and then it gets the second look to figure how come it looks different and so much bigger. Very clean job. Glad we played a small part even if you had to do the scary cutting ;)

The first cut wasn't so bad. It's the second cut that puckered the old sphinkter. It was a 1/4 inch cut on floppy metal. The only thing I could see of my cut line was a blur.
Now that's scary. Thanks for the props guy's! If anybody wants to see more pics I took a butt load while it progressed.

Hey man, props on the highline. It looks like a really clean job. I don't post much, so I'll just tell ya I'm the second half of Team Yellowsub. I just wanted to give you a heads up about the AC lines as they relate to the highline. Both Offroadaz & I wore leaks into the AC lines after doing the highline. It took about a year, but since the AC lines no longer follow the fender, they have a tendency to rest up against things they weren't meant to in the engine compartment. With time and engine vibration, it's pretty easy to wear a hole in one of the lines. Just give a quick check and make sure the lines are secure and aren't rubbing/resting up against anything.

Thanks for the headsup Silversides. That was my first concern actually so I cut some larger rubber vac line and wrapped it everywhere it was a potential problem.

Hey,
Anybody know where you can get a longer flare? With those tires they sling mud all up in the cab. My son has a bad habit of leaning out and watching and I knocked his hat off
with a mud ball. Now thats funny.

I *think the fenders from the sahara model are wider then the stock ones. Might try those?

I've been surfing through the site and I keep seeing these stickers that look a fish on wheels. What's up with that? We have a christian fish on the family truckster but have never seen one like that. Just somethin that made me go Hmm.

Awesome! Guys I commend you all on what looks like a very traditional mission statement. I'm proud to have found a group with that kind of commitment. I will order and proudly run my fish sticks. Thanks again Skatchkins

Welcome, Brian. That highline job you did is fantatic! I agree with the factory look. Well done, sir.

(also, glad you found the fish sticker!)
