Big red upgrade

Chad wrote:Nice Russ! One thing though. How will the intake do the next time you cross the Verde dragging another jeep behind you? lol

That's one thing that I don't like about aftermarket "cold air" intakes. It's going to be more vulnerable in water crossings.

well red got a vanity upgrade yesturday. all this talk about replacing subs and all got me thinking stereo has a cd in that won't eject or play and i have been wanting to put a little boom to help push up over those difficult objects.
well it is done now have pioneer cd/aux/usb (love the usb feature since i can now put music on my stick and go) 12" rockford fosgate sub and 1000w sound xtreme amp. the jeep now goes boom. sound is nice through my overhead speakers which are pioneers that i replaced a while back. the only other speakers to be changes are the stocks ones in the front. a buddy of mine was able to upgrade his to a 6x9 so i want to see what hardware he used and then get them changed.
for me the best feature was the usb port that waws my whole goal for the stereo from the begining since i get into a lot of dust with the jeep being open. i already have all my cd's on the computer plus the thousands of mp3s i also have. i am going to see if i can mount an external usb as a juke box and then i will never be out of tunes. should work since it works with a usb stick and they are mini drives

i do have a factory stereo if anyone needs one (alan) with a nikki minaj cd stuck in it. now to start reading the owners manual to figure out all the other features on it.

Copy cat... LOL Looks good Russ.

If I actually had anything still stock about my tub, including the rails and channels, I would have ordered this one... but part of what I like about Jared's is that it doesn't require channels.

copy cat????well that is calling the kettle black, who was talking about doing this with some certain person on a certain sunflower trail???? oh short memory wait your short anyways. really need it now to protect the new additions in the back. i like my new thumper and would not like anyone who really wants it more than me to have an easy time getting to it and also i can bring dogs along with out worring about dumping them. so nee nee nee nee

well the netting is now on. kept the top on for now. just threaded through the arms. this will work good with the dogs and a little security for piece of mind when i go into a store or something. it will make it harder to get at the tools and everything else back there. attachment

Looks good buddy. I like it with the top on, actually. Very nice. Post up more pics with the top down. I liked how it hugged the contours of the cage. I can't believe you got it that fast. Pretty cool man.

thanks 4 wheelers supplies got it over night from sandog. it was fairly easy ro put on it was just getting it in and around the arms so the top would sit right and i could get it into the front channels.

You have inspired me to work on my rig tonight. I think I shall tackle putting in a radio and figuring out my rock lights.

Awesome. I agree 100% and if you had flopped, it would have pushed you back over and made you a cup of coffee just the way you like it. That's awesome Russ. I'm jealous!
