We're buying a house!
#1
Since finding a job the beginning of May, Jonathan and I started talking about the possibility of buying a house. My sister-in-law suggested a realtor and we set up an appointment to talk. We wanted to find an old historic home in Central Phoenix so I was looking online pretty much every day, if not a couple times a day. We found the cutest little house a few days before our 2 week long trip to Pennsylvania/New York, so we drove by and took a peek inside. We fell in love with it and called our realtor to ask about it. Unfortunately just a few days earlier, someone signed on the house. We were sad but knew we'd end up finding something within the next 6 months or so; we weren't in any hurry. About 4 weeks later, we decided to get all the paperwork together to get preapproved for a house, so we could jump on the next house quicker. Thursday June 24th, we got preapproved and the very next day that cute house was back on the market!! We immediately went to see it with our realtor and Saturday morning we signed on it! We've been praying a lot about this, especially since it's such a big move. So far, everything's flowed so seamlessly. We did run into problems with the particular loan we tried to go with... It was an FHA rehab loan and they had a big issue with all the chipping paint. Anyway, to make a long story short-er, we are going with a different loan and everything has worked out.... we close August 25th!!

That garage could so be turned into a guest garage for fixing HG rigs at all hours instead of bugging Geoff's neighbors and family... ;)

Fixed it for you.

Garage door is not centered with peak of roof. That would drive me crazy. Other than that, nice house. I like the stove and fireplace. Have fun moving in August.

Moving day will be Saturday August 28th. If anyone's available, we'd love some help. We'll have everything boxed and ready to load up. We'll probably try to get an early start around 6 or 7.

Should be able make that! I'll plan for it. Glad to help out.

Thanks Avis!!
Would anyone be available to help move that has a truck & trailer:) I'm sure we could move without a trailer, but it'd be soooo much easier. And does anyone have a dolly we can borrow??

We'll get an early start to try and beat the heat. We'll definitely have drinks. And the good news is that we are moving from a 1 bedroom condo, so we don't have a ton of stuff.

Again the date we're moving is Saturday August 28th around 6 or 7am.
Thanks guys!

I have a dolly and I"ll bring a couple furniture dollies as well.

You have your choice of trailers, a 5x10 with sides, (great for boxes and smaller furniture) Or I can bring my 16 foot flatbed which is good for really big furniture such as couches and beds, or if you have someone else with a truck coming we can bring both.
