hello crew.

I'm looking to set up a few major events for this fall, in addition to the ad hoc runs we have as well. I wanted to get input as we've done several different things (i.e. annual fall Sedona camping trip and trail run, periodic holiday runs to the cracks, an epic Moab run, etc...)

Please vote in the poll to let me know what type of things you would be interested in. You can vote more than once if there are multiple things you are interested in.

It appears, everyone is interested in Hunter's BBQ this year. Mark it on your Calendar NOW. 12/11/10 (December 11, 2010). More details to follow.

The Cracks with the HCR crew. Here's my info from Bill:

Hey! Glad to hear from you.
Labor Day weekend the Undertakers will be there and at the Snow Flake race.
Around Aug 20th, the Desert Scouts will be there and the HCR will be there the weekend of Sept 24th.
Nothing planned for Oct yet. Your welcome to join the HCR or let me know when and how many.

In looking at the NAXJA board (ack) it appears their big Cracks run is the 24th of September as well (even though Dave O has backed out, some will still go), so I would like to propose an October Cracks outing. Nice and cold. Cabins close by for the family units, etc, although I'm personally still trying to hold out for a mini-four day-Moab run in actual Moab... stay tuned for that. May be November.

Epic Mod Day came in third (with 4 votes) mainly with me, Bob, and Virgil... notable absence of Geoff and Mike. Interesting and duly noted.

Sedona Camping / Early Snow Run/ etc.. had some legs, so we'll see how that shakes out. I'll make Hunters and the Cracks happen. There will be other smaller runs in between, I'm sure.

Finally, the all day FJ idea was only voted on by Geoff and Shanda, which I'm going to count as Geoff voting twice. LOL We'll make an XJ day out of it ourselves. No biggie.

Mike - any input?

Not sure if I voted for it or not, but I have a crap load of stuff to do on my jeep now. I'll probably spend the weekend of 9/18-19 under the jeep. I have some extra garage space, or might be able to get my bro in law to open up his shop if others are interested.

I'm talking with Sy about adding the two Cottonwood trails to our done list. That'll keep the big boys and the cameras happy. Especially once it gets a little cooler.
