Fr98 Log Corral 11-13-10
#1
We last ran the FR98 as a group last November and figured we should run this again. I was thinking the second saturday in November, 11-13-10? Any suggestions or you guys in? Should be alot more fun now!

Date: Tentative - Saturday 11-13-10
Meet Time: 6:45am
Meet Place: Beeline Baja Gas Station

Trail Rating: 3.5

Trail Restrictions:
3" or more of lift recommended
No locker requirement
Levelheadedness and the ability to not swear and curse at other group members when you can't find the river crossing after you go off on your own.

Trail Description:
Leaves the Beeline Hwy (SR 87) at the Sycamore Creek crossing and heads west toward Bartlett Lake on FR 98. The first part of the trail is up a rocky creek bed with a few obstacles that would challenge a stock vehicle. After the creek bed it is pretty much hard packed sand. The trails intersects FR 393 and provides a very scenic view of the lake before heading down to the lake and to the powerline road. The powerline road comes to the Verde River, which can normally be crossed north of Rio Verde Road

Drivers:
Bill
Russ
Matt
Lenny
Jonnie
Chad (maybe)

Bill, I am in Miami working that weekend, but you should make this an official thread, modify your first post, put it in the Calendar, and set the specs (date, meet time, trail requirements, etc...) and organize this run.

Hope to make this trip but my schedule is so fluid that it's a crapshoot. I'm gonna try though.
Hopefully it's much less exciting this time around, lol.

Dont forget an ax for the river crossing.

LOL, no doubt. I'm the giant goofy truck hangin out with all the little jeeps. Keeps it interesting, that's for sure.
