We hopped Jonathan and other runners 3 times. And shouted loud words of encouragement at everyone that passed from 7:00-8:00 and 10pm-2:30am

A huge thanks to Mike and Bob again this year!

Even though I've grown accustomed to your presence after the past couple of Ragnars I never know what to expect or where exactly you will show up(this year was no exception). I think I saw the bright light of the projector screen almost a half mile away (initially thinking "what kind of Ragnar instructional or water station sign is that"). After getting close enough (maybe a quarter mile away....the screen was huge), I first recognized the famous "I love jellybeans" picture followed by one of the turtle shots. I think my initial thoughts were "no way...you've got to be kidding me". Actually, I said that out loud to the runners' bewilderment around me (as I was passing them of course).

As if that was not enough, they picked up drove a few miles down the road and set it all up for me to pass again. I think it was a total of four times I passed this massive movie screen with great pictures and captions just for me. The last pass I saw the cock. Pretty sure I was the one that said "OH S@%T a chicken".

After explaining what the projector screen and pictures were all about to the rest of my team and some random participants that overheard, they all thought is was great and were noticeably jealous.

It is a huge pick up to have familiar faces cheering you on in the middle of the night (even if they are accompanied with embarassing photos and captions). By the way that ended up being my toughest leg of the race at almost 14 miles, 90% uphill, after already completing an 11.4 miler just a few short hours before with no sleep inbetween. I would not have done as well without you guys out there to make me laugh and take my mind off the painful run.
