My buddy bought a storage locker over the weekend. Inside a dresser drawer, he found a gun vault. Inside the gun vault, he found this:
A 90% condition Mauser 1934. This is from the family of 1914s. The Mauser 1934 was the last run before Mauser closed down this plant in 1940. This one was built in 1938. The only damage I could find was just holster wear. Sucker is worth about $500. He bought the locker for $200. LOL. A great find. Considering what else he found in there. A 36" Prussian made Infantry Presentation Saber, which dates back to 1860. Prussia, which became Unified Germany, which became modern Germany. Value? Oh, somewhere in the $4000-$5000 range.

my friend picked this up in a trade with some cash for a bumper that was on his GMC that he sold.
30-06, supposedly only a handful of rounds through it, with a new case, (price tag was still on it) and some ammo..
