Conceal Holsters
#1
I regularly carry, either my Glock 27 or my 327 ruger LCP.. conceal carry is almost always my LCP due to not being able to find a comfortable holster for my glock. The ruger is the only thing I can carry and not seem obvious that I'm carrying. What are you guys using? What's comfortable? What works best for concealment for a tall skinny guy like me? Lol point of all this is I want to carry the glock instead of the ruger because I like the gun more and I'm deadly accurate with it.

I carry the Springfield 9mm 4" service model. I was using a local guy (http://www.rrcskydex.com/) for conceal holsters. There was a problem with mine a year later and I contacted the guy and told him I'd still pay for another but he refused and said he'd take care of it. We were supposed to meet up on the east side but when I got out there and called he said he didn't have it with him but no problem he'd ship it out. I offered to pay for shipping but he said he'd take care of he whole thing no problem. That was over 6 months ago. No callbacks or returned emails. So... he's either dead or just a big pants of fire potty mouthed liar.

Anyway, member 2ndchance, in a spurt of pure awesomeness brought over 2 Galco holsters for me to try on.
The Galco Triton Kydex IWB Holster

and the
Galco KT440B KingTuk Inside the Waistband Holster

I tried them both on but I was used to the 1st choice since it was
Easily removable
Location on waist could be changed (side or back)
Fits in the glove box
Fits between seat and center console

That's what I know so far
Thank you 2ndchance for the new holster

This is the one I use. It is very comfortable. I put a P89 in it. Unfortunately, I was at the lake today and lost it in a terrible boating accident. No guns survived the accident.

If I'm carrying it as a CCW gun, I would choose as an IWB type. Kydex would be my first choice because it's form fitted and doesn't require any thumb break retention device. A molded leather would be my next choice. Both are around $40-$45.

Galco has a nice one that is REALLY concealable. Good choice for Arizona, as most of us don't really dress in layers. The Galco Push Up Inside the Pants holster (Model #PU436) tuckes WAY down in your pants. The barrel is slightly exposed, allowing you to use your finger to push the pistol up above the belt line, so you can grab it.

OpticsPlanet.Com has it for $43.00 delivered.

Of course, you could have a local guy custom make one for you. As Michael and I have experienced, YMMV.

For small pistols, I also favor a pocket carry option. DeSantis makes one called the Nemesis. It's pretty inexpensive and I've heard good things about it. THe outside material "grabs" the inside of the pocket. The interior is padded with a foam core. This makes it comfortable and breaks up the pistol outline. Combined, it makes for a smooth draw holster.

If you wear baggy pants, then it's probably NOT a good option for you, as you may pull your pocket inside-out.

MidwayUSA.Com offers it for $18.00. Although, I would look local, as tax would be cheaper than shipping fees.

Also, there is a guy on AR15.Com that is selling a slightly used Kydex SharkTac IWB for $20. Nice price!

With all this said, I would personally recommend the Galco. Leather is more comfortable than Kydex. Especially in the summer. Textured leather tends to not shift when you're wearing it. Kydex is smooth and will shift a bit.

Leather absorbs sweat, traps odor, and discolors over time... yuk. However, the PROs outweigh the CONs.

I have the MTAC Minotaur holster

Behind-the-hip (4 o'clock position)
Tuckable
Adjustable Cant
Slim Profile
Adjustable Ride Depth
Interchangeable Spare Bodies

The Minotaur MTAC is the ultimate level of deep concealment on the market today. This “hybrid” holster combines cowhide leather backing with a Kydex half-shell mounted on the leather. The leather backing provides the desired comfort achieved by leather holsters. The Kydex half-shell provides the reliable, consistent draw and re-holstering capabilities that make Kydex holsters so popular.

Interchangeable Spare Bodies – One holster for all your guns!
The Kydex half-shell (also called “Spare Body”) on this model is interchangeable and can be swapped out for different handguns.

Adjustable Cant and Ride Depth
The clips on the MTAC can be re-positioned to ride higher or lower on the holster. This allows the cant (angle) to be adjusted more or less depending on user preference. The ride depth can also be adjusted in the same manner.

Interchangeable Clips
The clips can be swapped out for different styles, colors, and belt widths.

Pros: Comfortable when walking around and sitting
Conceals well
Adjustable

Cons: Not comfortable for extended periods of wearing while driving. If Im in the car I usually pull the gun out and set it in the cup holder. Holster doesnt bother me with no gun in it
