Hey all,
I thought it might be neat to have a spot to post up any cool things we have seend God do lately. I got to thinking about this the other day when I was realizing all of the potentially TERRIBLE things He has saved my family from in the past few weeks.
I'll start it off. My dad had a knee replacement about 6 weeks ago now. Well he was healing great and doing well overall until last Monday. He started getting sever back pain so bad that he wasn't able to get out of bed. After a few chirpractor visits he ended up being so bag off that he had to go to the ER. They did some tests and found 4 large blood clots with one in each lung, one in his leg, and another in his abdomen. The doctors think it was unrelated to the knee surgery and was definitely not related to the back pain, but said that within a few days he could have been dead had he not come in for the back pain. Back pain from God! Haha! They put in an ICV filter and got his blood thin enough to be able to send him home after 9 days of being there. If all goes well, the clots should dissolve and they be able to take out the filter in about 3-6 months.
Well, about three days before that, 2 of my younger sisters were on their way home from my Uncle's funeral in San Diego. This was on that Saturday night a few weeks back when all the storms hit. There were on the 85 between the 8 and the 10 when the wind and rain hit. Sister slows down to about 40 and they continue on their way cautiously. A few miles down the road a microburst hit her HHR. Before they knew it they say they were going down the highway backwards and shortly after the car flipped one and a half times landing on the roof. They were able to crawl out of the passenger door and the next car to pass by was a retired officer who called 911 and was able to help keep them calm while they waited for rescuers. They ended up being totally safe with no broken bones or stitches somehow. Minor cuts and bruises and a few small burns from airbags, but SAFE!
How about you all? Any stories about something cool you have seen God move in?
PS. Let me know if there is already a thread like this or if this isn't an ok thread to start.
