The situation is complicated and sad but long story short, I need to buy a car for my uncle and grandmother.

Need a car that can do a 40-mile daily round trip commute and of an height that an 80 year old lady can easily get in/out of. Must have A/C. Being fuel efficient would be nice, but may be asking too much.

Since this is a gift to them, I'm pulling money from my personal funds... which is about $1,500.

Any leads?
