Chelvis Update
#1
It has come to our attention that we've failed to let everyone know what's been going on in our lives recently! So here's an entire thread dedicated to it :)

You all may or may not already know some of this information..

A few months ago we decided to move the wedding up. It will now be in August this year.
Daniel moved out of his parents house last weekend and is now living in a condo that we will share in 6 months.
A few months ago we found out I have an ulser due to stress.. I'm better now, but not completely healed, and am Managing the stress to the best of my abilities. (on a lighter note, this has forced me to eat better which has resulted in me losing 10 pounds! As well as made me rely alot more on God for help and healing)
In about a month I will be moving into Daniel's parents house to help keep the stress levels down and to be able to help pay for the condo.

And now for the biggest news of all (mainly because it's the most recent..)

I had an interview yesterday to be a teachers aide at one of the best special education schools in the country and after lots of prayer.... I got the job! :)

I'm thinking that more has happened but I just can't remember it! Those were the major things :)

Congrats on the job. When things get difficult for me I always try to remember the one verse in the Bible that I can remember. Luke 1:37

That's a good one! Mine is "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give you. I do not give as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." -1st John 14:27
I try to have it posted anywhere I can.. On my school/work binders, at home, on the computer.. I need constant reminders lol

That is fantastic!

Thanks for the update! I'll continue to pray for you two... God has great things in store for you both.

great update, good to hear that things are going well/better. Congrats on the job!

Let me know if you need anything wedding related. My wife does flowers and has a lot of contacts for venues and what not. We know a really good DJ that is very affordable too.

big things are coming for you two!

Well, I guess it's time to do another update.. this one pertaining more to the jeep, unfortunately its not good news.
But first the good news, I did get the job and i love it! And Daniel got a new job too! He now works for mission auto glass :)

anddd now the bad news. Last Saturday the jeep started running funny and left me stranded. Ended up having to tow it to Daniel's old shop. After a week of it being there we found out it needs a lot of expensive repairs. Tranny dumped all its fluid, the part is cheap but labor not so much.. it needs a water pump, and a new crank pully. Plus the computers blown..

So, we had a decision to make, let it sit for months until we get the money to fix it, which wouldn't be until after he wedding, sell it for cheap as is, or part it out. After a lot if thinking, talking, and praying we've decided we're done.. we just can't do it anymore.. as much as I love that jeep I'm tired of things breaking and having to come up with the money to fix it thinking that if we just fix this it'll be fine.. We've got overall about 5000 into that jeep... But we've decided to part it out...we can swap a lot over to the black jeep, which will now be my daily driver and the rest will go elsewhere.

Wow. Touch decision. Probably the more logical one anyways. Once your lives get back to normal (post wedding, new job, and new home) you can save up and get a new toy. Hey! Maybe there is a 2012 Jeep JK in your future? This way, my Jeep won't have to feel so alone! Ha ha.

Thanks for the update. Daniels stinks at it. ;-)

There are other days and other jeeps... That one rocked Colorado (as you can see from Chris' videos.. Oh wait... My bad.)

tough decision, but sounds like you did the right things to make the right decision.

You guys can still be part of HigherGrand with me. :))

That is a tough decision but it sounds like a wise one. James you are not alone, you are just the leader of the JK's. It is lonely at the top.
#14
It was tough decision for someone, just not me. lol If anyone needs ZJ parts, let me know..
#15
All ZJ's are gone! Daniel sold the last of the white jeep along with the trailer last week. And on Tuesday we traded the black jeep in for a 2010 Toyota Corolla! Between the new car, the very close wedding, and also close Moab trip I'm one excited girl :) also! With the new car comes no repairs at our cost for the next 70,000 miles and a free rental car and tow from anywhere if we are stranded and the car will be down for a few days!

i think the corolla could wheel in moab

While I would never do this, it would be a lot nicer of a drive in that then my truck lol
