Jeep sale ticket
#1
So I am driving "my" green Jeep around and to and from work. It is for sale.
There is a for sale sign on the front and back. I park it at work in the parking lot near the street for visibility.
A cop just parked next to it and ticketed it.

I approached him nicely and said, "That's my Jeep, is there a problem?"
He said, "You can't sell vehicles here."
I said, "I drive it to and from work here with the signs on it and park here during work."
(I also have permission from the management)
He then gave me a nonchalant reading of the law he had in his head regarding sale of vehicles at home and public property and how I was parked (in a private lot btw so that shouldn't matter) etc etc.

This is exactly what I did at my job with my '76 GMC and never had a problem.

So... what's the next step or is there one?

Pee in the cops butt

In 15 years of driving I have never gotten a ticket :(

Lol ^^ I would take it court, that's BS. Sounds to me like a cop abusing his "power". Made up some crap about that so he could meet his quota. I've had several BS tickets and I've taken the cop to court every time and ice won every time. Few times, cops never even showed up so the ticket gets thrown away.

In 20yrs of driving, I've only gotten a seatbelt non-moving violation but have been pulled over over 22 times.

yeah ive never been pulled over

Been pulled over more times than I can count. Been given about 10 tickets. Only one got me some points.

In my younger days, I've been pulled over and ticketed more times than I have fingers and toes.

I fight all of them, just on principle.

But now that I'm older and "time is money", I just pay the stupid moneygrab ones and move on.

If I had time, I would file a suit on that sucker!

ditto on taking to court odds are the cop will not show up
