Has anyone seen this? It's a show about a Chinese California city slicker gearhead (Bill) and a tough British Special Forces soldier (Gary).
The challenge: Find their 10 year old Jeep that was airlifted into a remote area and find civilization in 3 days. They have some tools, some recovery gear, and a small amount of food/water.
In the this fxepisode they find themselves in a remote mountianous region of Chili. An electronic tracker aids in finding the Jeep but they discover it pirched on top of a cliff face with a 2 foot gap to pass. Sounds easy but the loose rocks make it a challenge.
On day 1 they use animal dung to build a fire to cook their instant noodles, their winch to make a tarp tent, and jumper cables to spark the flame.
The show relies on Gary's survival experience and Bill's awesome driving and creative mechanical skills. These all come in handy when they run out of food and when they break the Jeep.
On day 2 they fix a broken spark plug wire with a wet branch. Later they use a giant boulder as an anchor, a big recovery strap and some pullies and rope, and repel the jeep down a steep cliff. Problem comes up when they run out of rope half way down.
In day 3 they almost lose the Jeep in fast moving rapids and break their throttle cable when they were just miles from a maintained road.
The show has some cool action, some good comedy, and some amazing driving and mechanical ingenuity.
The roughest part of the show is when Gary tries driving and they get stuck in a fast flowing river and locked onto some big river boulders. The funniest was when Gary cooks up some lizards for breakfast and Bill breaks out the soy sauce packs and stainless retractable chopsticks.
Looks like a fun show to follow!
