Found a nicely priced AR-15
#1
Recently, I received an email from Centerfire Systems about their new line of AR-15 rifles by Special Ops Tactical from Apopka, FL. Centerfire Systems has been around for a long time and they have been known for bringing in a lot of imported firearms and used trade-ins. When they contacted me about their new line of Special Ops Tactical ARs, it drew my interest. I don't know a lot about Special Ops Tactical, but the price point was quite the grabber especially when you see what they offer.

The one that really caught my eye was their M4 Carbine called the Thunderstreak. It comes with the traditional mil-spec M4 configuration but with a few things that make this gun a great value.

  • 304 Stainless Steel Gas Tube to protect from gas fouling corrosion
  • 1-7" twist rate instead of 1-9" to handle heavier bullets
  • 4150 Chromoly Vanadium barrel (designed for extreme full-auto wear n' tear)
  • Forged charging handle
  • Forged 7075-T6 aluminum receivers with hardcoat anodizing
  • Milled T-Marks on the upper flat top receiver
  • Low Shelf for RDIAS installation (Registered Drop-In Auto Sear) for you full-auto enthusiasts
  • HK style universal bullet pictograms on the selector (also marked for full auto)
  • Includes a hard case
  • Receiver is marked "multi-caliber" so you can swap uppers halves to change it from .223/5.56 to other calibers without violating some State laws (AZ doesn't care).

These alone would jack up the price of a traditional AR to almost $900-$1000. Here's the cool part. All this could be had for $660.00 + shipping and FFL transfer!!!

That's a freaking amazing price! So, if any of you have been on the fence about buying an AR for reasons of investment, zombie slaying, ObamaScare, or whatever reason... this is quite possibly the time for you to pony up!

Disclaimer: I am not a representative of Centerfire Systems or Special Ops Tactical. I just like a darn good deal and to pass it along to friends.

3 months later, this rifle is now $700 and backordered for awhile. That's a 6% increase. Wish my 401K increased that much in 3 months! Yup. Good investment... now more than ever!
