On January 6th 2013 four teams took on the BIG JIMMY CHALLENGE. One 24” pizza, Two people, One hour to eat it all.
I remember the day being warm, the sun was out and the challengers were in good spirits. We joked about who would have to eat more and who would be the first to puke. I made sure to ask if we got wings with the pizza. Sadly we did not.
The pizza was ordered and we waited with a hunger known by few.
The pizza arrived.
We started off strong and I was able to kill my side in about 15 min. I sat back and let the grease soak while the cheese did its best to back me up and stop my heart.
About the 20 min mark my partner started to slow down, his eyes began to water and deep from within there came a gurgle.
I was back in the game. “What do you need?” *burp… gurgle…burp… “the crust, eat it”
We pulled out all the stops and dug deeper than most men know possible. One more bite.
