Ammo Sharing Program / Reloading equipment loaner
#1
This morning, I had to wake up at 5:30am to stand in line at a Wal-mart (at 6:15am) to purchase some 22LR ammuntion when the sporting goods counter opened at 7am. I was 3rd in line. By the time 7am came, there was 15 people in line. THIS IS CRAZY! Since I reload my own ammo, I really never had to face such a stupid thing. Since my boys are now shooting, I find myself scraping and hoarding 22LR like a bear preparing for winter hibernation.

While in line I had two ideas. I KNOW some of you can use ammo. I KNOW some of you hunt stores or online sources for ammo. Why not buy extra and trade with other HERE?

1) EXAMPLE: When I purchased my 22LR, I also purchased a 50rnd box of Winchester 40SW. The 40SW ammo was $22.00 OTD (out the door). Would anyone like to swap me with an equivelant dollar value of a 500ct brick of 22LR?

I'm sure everyone is needing 9mm, 40SW, 45ACP, .223rem, 38special, and 22LR. So, if you're out and about, pick up something for someone and post it here. Then, trade it for something you need.

2) EXAMPLE: I have a progressive loading press. It will load around 400-500 rounds per hour. I don't like to sell my reloaded ammo because of liability and I generally load what I need (and not more). My reloading press sits motionless 90% of the time. Why not let someone else use it?

If you have brass, primer, powder, and bullet, bring it over and borrow my reloading press and equipment. You can save a TON of money reloading your own stuff and the time you took loading it would have been the same time you spent standing in line at Wal-Mart or surfing the web, trying to find factory ammo.

I'm set up for 9mm, 40SW, 45ACP, .223rem, .308win, 30-06 springfield.

I will only charge a small fee and that covers electricity for lights and vibratory brass cleaner, and tumbling media for cleaning your dirty brass. The fee is $15/hr. I will help with the setup of the calibers. They are on quick-change heads so setup is pretty quick.

These were two ideas that I came up with when I was killing time at Wal-mart. What do you guys think?

Maybe when they come out a little better, the club could by one of the 3D printers for AR parts 8)

I picked up a 50rnd box of Winchester 40SW from Wal-Mart. $22.00 is what I paid. No mark up.

$22.00 cash, even-trade me some a 500ct brick of 22LR, or even-trade me 60-rnds of quality .223rem 55gr FMJ (no steel cased ammo).

If you don't mind some Match Quality reloads, I will trade your "round for round" for the 40S&W. I have 200gr PRN and 230gr FMJ.
