I know there are a few professional photographers here, and I am looking at buying a new camera.

Looking to spend about $1500, and want the standard 18-55 and 70-300mm lenses. I will eventually be getting a spotting scope adapter and a new spotting scope for hunting as well.

I have been looking hard at the Nikon d5100. Any thoughts or other suggestions? I need answers kind of soon, as I am looking to pull the trigger this weekend sometime.

Never mind. Just picked up a Nikon d5200 with a couple nice lenses. Got a smoking deal on it. Time to start following around the pros on this site and get some pointers.
