I applied last week for a new job with the peoria school district. If I get it I will have somewhat normal hours, 7am - 3:30pm Monday through Friday. The nice thing about it is I would get 5 days off at Christmas 2 days off for Easter and every major school holiday as well.

The bad thing about it is I will lose alot of money by leaving IBM.

Overall I think it will be worth it to switch to a day position, Ill have weekends and nights free again, havent had that for 6 years now :wink:

So, if you remember please pray that if its in God's will for me to get the new job then let my interview go smoothly and the whole process will go as quick as possible. If its not what God wants, then pray that He makes that obvious too :D

No you will be losing a lot of money leaving night shift- which you wanted to do anyway. Maybe you'll be alive for more than 3hrs of the day. So that way when people come visit you at your house, you'll be awake :roll:

not really a new job but I got new hours at work (hopefully)

I should know for sure on Wednesday, but right now it looks like I will be working Mon - Wed and every other thursday from 6:30am to 6:30pm

still a 12 hour shift but the schedule is alot better, ill be on days and have every fri-sat-sun off :wink:
