What would be your choice for body armor and gas masks? I saw a few israeli issued nbc masks on Amazon for $20. Any good?

Interesting. So the NBC rating is for Nuclear, Biological and Chemical? That's really cheap.
Going into hot decaying buildings in Arizona, I got just the half face and upgraded the filters to the 3M 60921.
It has the P100 Respiratory rating with the additional Organic Vapor Filter for airborne biological particles (e.g., mold, Bacillus anthracis, Avian Influenza Viruses, Mycobacterium tuberculosis, etc).
You can use a 60926 (P100 with Organic Vapor Protection and Multi Gas including Acid Gas Protection)
I wonder what size your posted mask is? Apparently 80% of the pop is good for medium. Large fit my melon better.

Is there a place to get new filters for that mask? The ones on amazon seem to be 2009 and older...

Good question.
According to the manufacturer, the only markings that mean anything are the stamped numbers on the body. The first and last number form the year manufactured. a 9*****2 means made in 92. Also the company says that properly stored they only recommend a 15 year life.

I have a Condor Tactical Defender Plate Carrier. Model #DFPC. It supports soft armor as well as AR500 plates. It will hold front, rear, and sides. I'm currently using it with my old Level IIIa soft armor.
The vest can be purchased for around $70.00 at most stores. I purchased mine from a shop that is next door to Shooter's World (Peoria location).
