Ultra4 National Championship Race: Sept 28

Join Ultra4 Racing for the 2013 National Championship Race, presented by Nitto Tire. The 2013 race is being held on Saturday, September 28th at Thunder Rock Off Road Ranch in Congress, Arizona (1.5 hours northwest of Phoenix) in the beautiful Sonoran Desert.

Where: Thunder Rock Off Road Ranch - Click here for the location on a map.

There is not a physical address for the ranch but it is considered
Congress, AZ and the GPS coordinates are: 34.267090, -112.903000 or
+34° 16' 1.52", -112° 54' 10.80"

Congress, Arizona is an easy drive from Phoenix (1.5 hours), Las Vegas (3.5 hours), Palm Spring (3.5 hours), and Los Angeles (5 hour).

The closest town is Wickenburg (22 miles from the ranch and about a 45 minute drive with the dirt road). Yarnell is about 10-12 miles from the Ranch but it is a winding mountain road to get to this location. Please Note: There is an 8-mile dirt county maintained road that leads to the ranch that depending on how recently it has rained/been graded can be smooth or washboard like.

Course description: In true ULTRA4 fashion, the track will be a combination of desert racing and rock crawling. Expect a 20-23 mile lap. This racecourse is spectator friendly and offers many viewing and vantage points for keeping up with the action and up close and personal interaction with the drivers.

Cost: $15 for a one-day pass, $25 for a full weekend pass.

Camping/Nearest Hotels: Dry camping is available on site and porta potties will also be available. For those wishing to stay at a hotel, the nearest hotels are in Wickenburg, AZ.

Camping fee is $10 per vehicle staying overnight.

We look forward to seeing you there!

This is at the site of the 2012 Dirt Riot race. 17 mile desert "trophy truck" course and about 5 miles of the W.E.Rock rock crawling course. Should be a BLAST. I pre-run on Friday and the race is on Saturday, starting at 10 AM.

It would be awesome to see you guys out there. It won't be "KOH" but it will be MUCH more than a Dirt Riot race with all the top names and buggies out there. I won't be camping since its so close, but it will be fun.

Let me now if you want to be a part of Pit Crew and I'll get the necessary paperwork and insurance lined up (just like KOH).

These cars will be there.

Shannon Campbell (only 2 time King of the Hammers)

Loren Healy (former King of the Hammers)

Nick Nelson (2012 National Champion)

Erik Miller (former King of the Hammers)

Jason Shearer(er) (former King of the Hammers)

Wayland Campbell w/Ryan Miller

Andrew McLaughlin (LetzRoll Offroad)

Jeremy Hammer (Fly-n-Hi Total Performance Center)

Todd McCullen (Desert Fab)

and if THAT doesn't get you "fully torqued", here is a warm up video to get the ready! There will be FIVE former Kings for sure. Maybe even 6 if Randy Slawson shows up. Too good to pass up.

Make a weekend out of it. Wheel the same course on Sunday that we race on Saturday! 1 Week out. Going to be so much fun.

thats a great course, its easy to see the action and if you get a media vest, very easy to run around and get awesome shots

the shorter track is fun too, lots of go fast stuff

Awesome. Volunteer meeting is at 8 PM on Friday night. I will be heading out Thursday night with the race team and with Will Gentile in tow from the airport. We'll be camping Thursday/Friday. I really could use another sleeping bag if anyone has one I could borrow. I have loaned my two to Will and his other camera man. I can make due with blankets, but I know we are camping bunch, so thought I would ask up front.
