Home plan drills
#1
I remember as a kid our family doing fire drills and tornado drills at home. Fire, You have until X to get out to the front yard sidewalk, or getting to the bathroom/tub to hunker down for the storm.

Do you and your household have a plan for certain scenarios and do you drill them?

i.e. not just bug-out-bag stuff but say how to escape the back of the house in case of fire or front intruder, the solution to deadbolted doors, where to go afterwards or where to go to hunker down, nearest weapons, easy exit points, etc?

No. I figure panic is more fun.

I would figure a little kid running around on fire would just spread it faster.

Yes, but my teenager's ability to talk at 200mph would use all the oxygen thus the fire would be extinguished.

I guess I find it odd especially with others in the house that no one else has mentioned their thoughts on this.

Nope. Even if we did a drill Kristi would just scream and fall down if someone came in. If there was a fire she would make it out fine. 3 doors to the back yard. Two leading out the front.

I only have one front door, one way out. No kids.. So I haven't bothered with it. Eventually I will. When I was a kid we had a drill that we practiced a few times
