Has anyone locked down a date yet? I should be able to get 4-5 days off to join in. Need to know soon so I can bid for those days off.

No. Bob and I were both out if country and haven't talked. He's waiting on some dates from me that are a "no go" to give several options on here.

Weekend of Oct 4th. That work for people? Its 3 days on the dirt. So we can leave early on Sat and start the trail and camp out or leave friday get a hotel for the night and start the trail sat morning. Im still trying to find out if you start in CA or near AZ... the google said yes to each...

You would need Monday off. Its 3 day on the trail or two long days if we want or need to do that. If we start the trail sat we would be done Monday. Its about 4 hours to the start of the trail and about 6 hours home from the end of it.

I read to start from AZ side. Should be cheap places to stay in Laughlin if we want to on the way to or from.
