You are pranking a birthday friend's house and a quarter mile away every cop in the city is called out to a scene where a man is firing his rifle at houses and now cops and the helicopter. I heard the helicopter shots and wondered why it left and the no-lights one came instead and hovered higher. I've never heard so many roaring cop car engines and sirens.

We turned on the scanner and heard much of it. All the discussing backdrops for firing, clearing the house, separating him from the rifle, etc. When we drove home 15th ave was just a solid rolling red and blue party light.

Had one unmarked car fly through the neighborhood and watch us for a minute but all the other units were right on scene.
