Leaking Air locker

Need a little advice for a fix. I have a Grizzly air lockers installed and I noticed the other day that my front was leaking. Upon inspection, I noticed gear oil seeping from the top of the front diff. It appears to be coming from the bulkhead connector, where my air hose goes in.

After talking with Geoff, I am to assume that I can press down on the air hose, press on the "push to fit" fitting and release the air hose. I assume that I should unscrew the Push to Fit fitting, apply some thread tape and screw it back in.


Here's my question: Does the bottom bulkhead connector (that is screwed onto the diff) hold the inner air hose in place? I'm concerned that if I unscrew the Push to Fit fitting, the inner one air tube will fall into the diff. I would think that the O-ring would keep the inner hose from falling into the diff. Just not sure.

How do I fix this?

By looks of it, I agree that the o-ring should apply just enough pressure to keep the inner hose in place. Be ready with a small pair of needle nose when you do it... just incase.

The inner hose is probably copper and won't move much.

On line 6 of the instructions, it said it is copper.

I popped the air line out of the PTC coupler, and gear oil ran out of the hose... Normal?

I have an ARB, or two, and have been through removal and installation a lot. Usually the inner tube stays when removing the fitting. If it falls in then just remove the cover. I have gear oil in my lines too. ARB says this is normal. Every so often I have to remove my line and blow out the oil, cuz too much will keep the locker from actuating. That happens mid obstacle with people yelling "front locker". Hope this helps.

Won't the air line blow out by me just turning on the compressor and sending air into the line? That's 90+ psi? You would think so.
Anyway, I did go in there and start messing with it. Yes, the copper tube is rigid and stayed in place. I cleaned the area and reassembled. I think the oil was just seeping out of the line.

When I blow it out it is only the plastic line to the fitting. I just actuate the solenoid a few times to blow the oil out in to a towel. Yes it's annoying, but not that bad.
