Another one for the books.. While it may not have been the most enjoying drive at times, the history was awesome and the desert has it's own kind of beauty.

Huge thanks to Bob for putting this trip together! and to all those who made it out. It's always fun getting together regardless of what we're doing. I'll leave a teaser picture here, and will post up more tomorrow.

That really does look epic on that bus color.
Been enjoying the facebook feed on this. Thanks for all the sharing.

Thanks to all you guys for making the trip. It was on the list of trails I have wanted to do for a long time. People always posted these great pics and trip reports.

I am now looking for those people so I can kick them in the nuts.

All joking aside, It was a fun time with some great people. Alan you were missed. The kids were good to have around. They can have fun at any place any time. It made for some great laughs.
I am glad I was able to mark this trail off the list but I dont know that I would ever do it again. Just not enough to see with that many miles driven.
Thanks again to all of you who made the trip and for keeping it fun when we had to turn around a few times. :)

The Dodge is officially done as a trip rig. I don't know that I would trust it to make another out of state run.

Where you see the green trees popping up, there was a natural spring down there and a huge amount of water flowing. Couldn't see it, due to the brush being so thick but it was loud.

We wondered around a volcano field for a while looking for the lava tubes.. finally found them, while it was small I loved it. Caves are amazing to me so any little thing like it I love seeing.

Was just looking at pics thinking how bad ass of a trip it was. Nothing crazy and it was hot as balls, but still just a bad ass crew and fun trip. We need another trip like this.

Yes! I'm building the FSJ for trips like this one. I still want to organize PHX to JV without using paved roads...
