Wrenching party??

Been kicking around the idea of buying this. One reviewer installed it himself with basic garage tools, jack stands and two floor jacks in 7 hours.

What are your thoughts?

Arms look thick and the shocks are nice but $2500 for a lift hurts. Then again its been a while since I had to buy one so that could be a good deal. Either way if I am free, I am down to help.

I thought so too. Then I started braking down all the goodies and it seems fair. Heck, it comes with Teraflex speed bumps in the front! That's $600+ by itself.

Install looks pretty straight forward.

Always in for pizza and some spilt blood.

Maybe Geoff will volunteer his shop, so it will speed up the process. :)

I'm in.

If Geoffs shop isn't available, let me know and i'll ask my Dad about his.
#8
Does your dad's garage have a vehicle lift? :)

I'll help

any particular reason youre going with that lift?

and Id love to help too. Ill bring the camera for pics and we can add it to our tech section

Its not set in stone yet. However, I do like this setup. Reason?

* 3" of lift.
* I think those shocks may be softer on washboard roads, as they are tuned for JKs.
* It's stronger than my current setup.
* it includes the Teraflex Speed Bumps.
* The kit is pretty complete.

Other than that, I think it looks badass.

I think it sounds a bit pricey for a short arm kit.

I'm in to help!

If you guys have a better choice of a setup, I'm open to it. Just keep in mind, its an 85% daily driver and 15% off road. Primarily washboard forest service roads. My current 2" boost gives plenty of clearance. I'm just not a fan of the current Teraflex 9500 shocks. Very stiff.

I'm an RE fan.

you can upgrade shocks

Or if you like your current setup just get Bilstein 5160s front and rear.

Sound like I need a research/shopping party before the wrenching party.

Shocks are a lot of the cost in the setup your looking at..

The ones Matt listed are awesome shocks. But, at 186 a piece, you're back up to the original cost of what you were looking at.
#17
Those bump stops are pretty pricy, too. Like $500 for the set.
#18
For what you are getting, I think it a fair price. I've never run fox shocks, but I'm sure they are as good if not better then bilsteins

True, but if he's happy with the current setup just the shocks would be considerably cheaper.

quick looking around this morn and I found this
http://www.jeep4x4center.com/rock-krawler-3-5-x-factor-long-arm-system-lift-kit-4-door-rock-rkjk35xfla4.html

no shocks, but rock krawler makes good stuff. Also, 1 regret I had with the TJ, I wish I went to long arms instead of mid/short. Long arms handle a lot better on the city/freeways
