Chris- notes on your 2nd attack

Looking at the map you should have put one guy next to the cc to draw them out. Once out of the cc drop one more person next to the hut in the corner. Once they head that way drop the spell like you did and then do a half circle of archers or barbs around them. Dropping the giants like you did got them killed a little quick.
I think with a little work you could have had a 50% attack with no problem.

yah when i was scouting, i thought i was out of range for the CC, I was really shocked they ran out

I thought I was going to be able to hit the TH without ever getting the CC troops to be a factor :-/

always pull the troops out first. This allows you controll them and gather them up so you can kill them without too much effort

When scouting tap on the cc and you can see the range it has.

Crystal level III is a good place to die. If I dont have my game up and going at all times I get hit for lots of black gold and purple. I have lost ove 2100 in black and almost a mill in purple in less than 12 hours. Im going to drop back down to gold.

I can find a lot more people with 250K in gold and 250k in purp but it takes me a lot more to clear the camp. 100k + in troops each attack.

my last couple of raids have just been straight 135 goblin army - fun to watch them run around the defenses to loot

Did a dump and went from 2180 to 1950 to see if being lower with help with the hits

You can boost your gold and purple for 1 gem each for a week. Get on it!

Avis please watch the replay of what chris did on his attack. This will show you what they have in the cc that you will need to deal with.
I cant see what you did in your attack on #14, but based on your 8% I would bet you didnt pull the cc troops out and deal with them first.
Make sure you have a full cc of war troops ready for your attack
Make sure you have your spells ready to go.
Pull the cc troops out first
Do NOT use any gobs they are fine for raids but not war.

First attack was terrible for two reasons....

1: I forgot I had a bunch of goblins from raiding, my bad.

2: The freakin game lost connection and crashed mid way through attack.

Oh, also In your opinion how important is it to upgrade the CC vs walls/troops?

CC is nice because you can get better (more) troops given to you. If you have the extra loot its nice to have a bigger cc. Will it win a war? It could.

It sucks but thats the smart way to do it. Im stuck at TH8 for a few more months.

Good luck in the war today. Take your time and study the base you are going to attack. Where would they put a big bomb? Where is the testla? Make sure you pull the cc troops out and kill them if you can If its something nasty put troops in a 1/2 moon around them and let them have it.

Dont forget to have your spells ready and request what you think will help you win the war. Dont be afraid to ask for a top level troop. We want to win and its worth the cost.
