2017 JKU Build
#1
Figured I'd post up a build thread for this thing...

Bought a brand new JKUR with 12 miles on it when we drove it off the lot...

She was happy

Very next weekend we took it up to Sedona to play around... had less than 400 miles on it at this point..

Ended up with a Crawler Conceptz front bumper, Warn winch, and some trimmed flares in preparation for 35s. I also replaced the factory coils with Teraflex coils to give me about 1 1/2 inch of lift and I also added a small spacer to compensate for the weight of the winch / bumper.

Last week I took it over to Kyle Prettymans house and he welded in my Artec Trusses front and rear

The day after I picked it up from Kyle, I installed my Ballistic Fab wheel spacers so I can run my factory wheels, and bolted up my 35s...

Next up on the list is 4.88 gears, a Crawler Conceptz rear bumper and tire carrier and..... that's pretty much it for now for the big stuff. I'd like to get a security drawer for under the seat for when the top / doors are off, and I'd also like to get some insulation for the hardtop. Jeep has about 5200 miles on it now and we've loved every one of those miles.

You should see it in person it looks even better

Looks like a solid build and super sessy at that. Can't wait to see it on the trails.

Any license plate ideas?

I'm available for showings on Fridays and weekends. We can make sure it's tall enough now to avoid scratching the top.

I'm in Mexico next weekend, and flag after that.... but I'm down for another run through. Lets do it during the day this time

Had a blast down in Mexico this past weekend. Found the current weak link in the suspension...

New shocks and brake lines have been ordered. After I get those on, I"ll find the sweet spot and add limit straps and adjust bump stops accordingly.

She still looks good, even with 3 shocks :)

Did you trim your fenders, or are they some aftermarket?
#15
I trimmed them. Figured I had nothing to loose.. I'd like to do the Metal Cloak fenders and inner fender liners but, that's money spent better elsewhere on the jeep for now.

Posting this just cause it's an awesome picture

While it was up on stands, I washed some more sand off the bottom of it.

Getting this finished up today, hopefully install it tomorrow. This will take the stress off my tailgate hinges with the bigger spare tire.

They are nice - I have them on the back of my truck as well.

Black Friday was the time to buy.... got everything between 15% and 20% off

Got the Rock Krawler front adjustable track bar installed today. Probably in the next month or two I'll have Slayers old 1 ton steering set up bolted in as well.
