As most of you know Jen and I had a Dr. appointment on Thursday to have our soon to be daughter turned in the correct positon. She was what they call Frank Breech, meaning her feet were directly in front of her face and she was coming out butt first. We had 2 options, set up a c-section or do what is called an aversion. An aversion is where they numb Jen from the chest down and from the outside, turn the baby into the correct positon. Our Dr. (one of the best in the state) has a 90% sucess rate of doing this.
After a few min. into the procedure he was having a lot of trouble so he decided to order the mother of all ultrasounds. In this ultrasound he found that there was only 2.5 meters of fluit around the baby, there should be at least 8 meters. He made the decision to have a c-sections while Jen was still numb. Had we not decided to have the aversion done (against the wishes of many people) we could have lost the baby.
Instead she was born on Thursday September 27 2007 at 6:25pm weighing 5.4lbs and is 19.2 inches. Her and Jen are doing great and even though she is small and 3 weeks early, she is healthy and will get to come home with me and Jen in a few days.
Here is a pic of me and my daughter, more pics to come soon.
Thank you for your prayers and God bless you.
