Yesterday morning, we drove 30 miles to where I wanted to be and never got a piece of mud on the truck because it was frozen... Coming back out, well... My truck is brown now. Enough to look pretty but not to be to annoying.

Going up to the other side of the control road around East Clear Creek Sunday for Christmas trees with the Big and little K's. I'm the only 4wd vehicle... but not 4wd. Think the snow is low enough for me to not start calling you guys for ditch help?

The snow isn't that deep... The problem is that it melts during the day, and freezes overnight. You should be okay, just go slow. Plus, you have a winch.. I'll come if you call :) even when it melts, it's an icy slush that even with 4wd is hard to keep straight. I am basig all of this on fr300 which is pretty well traveled the past couple days by people getting trees

I just finally succumbed and admired I have the same sinus infection that kept Ivan put of school last week. Started Sunday, thought I would be better by Thursday, but it got worse. Felt like death today. Fly cross country tomorrow... :-/

That sucks. Sinus pressure on an airplane is no fun. Get better soon.

I don't know if this is KOH "prep" or not... but as I'm cleaning out the garage as a part of my annual garage clean out, I just "unpacked" two boxes of stuff that we had tossed together as "clean up" after KOH 2013.

On a good note, I found some tools I had been missing since the Lakebed.

I made a dolly and track this past summer that works great... now I'm going to make a jib camera crane as well.

It went together pretty easy. I still need more counterweight for smoother panning, but for the most part, with practice, I think I can master this technique.

First wave of construction:

2nd wave of construction (no camera mount or counterweight yet)

Sample video (just around the house).

AWESOME! See you at the Hammers! (oh wait... never mind) ;-)

Moab will be a blast. Wish I could make the Rubicon. :-(

...Got my time off for Moab and Rubicon approved :)

Also, Found a drive shaft for $50, and a back window for $50. Already got the cross member.. all that leaves is getting the T-case fixed, and the truck is Moab ready. :) At least for some easier trails.
