I just...

...drove the XJ to work and discovered I bent the crap out of my tie rod on Saturday. Going straight down the 51, my steering wheel was about 45 degrees off to the left. I checked it when I got to work and sure enough, there is a nice upward bow on the tie rod maybe 6-8 inches. I guess I'm in the market for new steering also.

Don't throw anything away off your old motor. You are going to need it to swap over to the new one.

...just got to work, after getting ready in 5 minutes, after spending too long this morn fixing something with the website (that I realized I had messed up working on too late last night), after I had been woken up by yapping neighbor dogs that when I got up to slam the door, I passed out falling backwards on on the tile.

Now that I got that out of the way. Good morning.

Virgil, second offer :)=), I've got a stock (straight) tie rod here at the house you can use while you are deciding on HD steering. Call or PM me.
