Ok... so plans changed a little... the mounts that i was going to get from the junkyard are no go. I called around and ordered up some from the dealer for a 2000 TJ since they were cheaper than the 97 ones... They should be here in 3 days.

Sunday Joe Jack Jim Bill Mike and I were down at Absolute working on 2 rigs. Joe was welding on his rig while Jack set my arms to the frame and axle. When Joe needed to let his frame cool off he would weld on mine for a bit.
We got the axles under the rig and put the springs under it to make it a roller. This weekend I will pull the drive line out of the other Jeep and get the body off the frame.

I did think about putting a progress cam up for when work's going on, but the build keeps moving around the shop to different spots or else a progress montage would be sweet.

I like Bob's Lil' Reds

The goal is the end of march to be able to drive it out of the shop.
Its going to be a hard push but I think I can do it.

Where the Jeep is at and what is left to be done.

The lift is on the frame and looks like it should be good when the body is set on it.
I need to strip down the other Jeep and pull the eng and body. Since the body is going back on over the same eng I just need to disconnect the wires from the eng and pull it.
Once the eng is out I need to make sure that I look at any hoses that will be a pain in the rear to replace with the eng in…
Once the trans is in place I will need to fit the eng to the frame and have Joe weld it in.
After all the running gear is in place I will need to measure for the rear driveshaft and send it out to redone. I will also need to put the brakes together… Kinda need to stop.

If I can sell the doors I will order some shafts the axles.

I should be able to get it done by the 5th for the most part.

No webcams. Never know when my shirt might not be covering the Grand Canyon. :)=)

Yup, I see you are about right Bob. We'll just need to swap the brake lines and fuel lines from the old frame to the new also. But you left the clips on for all of that so it will be easier.

I did because you said to ... :)=)
I think some of them went mia with me moving the frame a few times.

Ha, guess I'm kinda smart then.

Hey Alan, we made the exact same comment about a soap box derby car on steroids.

So Mike in his "cool like the other side of the pillow" state came up with a killer deal for the hood...
