Jared just got done with his procedure. Not sure where the bleeding is coming from but it has stopped. We will know more when the GI doctor comes by again. Thank you all for your support and prayers! You are all amazing! :)

He's at Good Sam now, I believe...

Jareds GI doctor just came in and explained that the bleeding was caused by an ulcer that had hit an artery and the bleeding had stopped. They will be doing another blood test to determine hemoglobin counts. He is still in ICU at good Sam and if blood levels stay normal he might be able to go home tomorrow.

Just got back from kicking J's, His girl's, and her sister's butt in Battleship and Phase 10.

Just got the new test results back and I am still losing blood. Dr is going to re check blood levels in the morning and continue to transfuse. They are also talking about scoping my stomach again and possibly doing a colonoscopy. It does not look like I will be getting to go home any time soon : (

have you tried a folgers coffee transfusion??? watching saturday night live and i am in the 80's and they have a commerical of this and all those people are doing just fine!:rolleyes: get well!!

So far all seems to be going pretty good the last 24 hours. This is the start of day 6 and I am so ready to go home but it looks like I will be here for another day or 2.

My blood count needs to be stable for 48 hours before they will even think of releasing me. Since my last transfusion my counts have been staying pretty level and have even gone up after giving me an injection of some performance enhancer stuff that Lance Armstrong took. It helps your body regenerate red blood cells.

To sum this all up, I am doing better. When I came in my counts were 6.3 and now they are 7.8, normal count is around 15. Not great for having 5 units of blood transfused but it is an improvement. I might get transferred out of ICU today with a small possibility of being released tomorrow if I continue to improve.
