Going to order new controll arms... just couldnt find any big enough....

#107
superduty control arms. those might suffice.
#108
Since I am going to do the swap and the axle will be out of the rig, what should i replace?
Ball joints are on the list.

What seals and bushings are best done now to keep the PIA to a min?
#109
Control arm bushings should be inspected. Check the u joints too. Ball joints I would say are high on the list depending on mileage of donor.
#110
Hate to say it, but since it's all being swapped all bushings/bearings should be went over.

Nooooo... never been a fan of the flatbed look. I get it. Just dont like it.

I will go over all of the bushings but if push came to shove what would you fix while it was out?

Yes they do

Those are sexy

So I picked up the rims and beadlocks. I dont think I am going to use the locks. They seem to be more of a pain that they are worth to me.

Been watching for some 35's or 37's.
#118
So are there extra holes in the rims since your not internal beadlocks?
#119
Yes there is an extra hole that will need to be welded up.

I started cutting the front bumper. I wanted to see if I could follow the lines... I can... sorta.
All the plastic has been removed and it will get about 3" trimmed off the bottom. This should help keep it out of the rocks but keep the radiator from getting crunched.

Replaced the upper hose and flushed out all the crap again. Since I had it all opened up I replaced the AC seals. Just need to get it vacumed down.

Tires are causing a small problem. I cant find a set of ok used 35's or 37's in a 17" flavor. . Not looking to spen $1200 on tires... I just dont have that. I'll keep looking.

This weekend I spend spend spend!
