Well, I pulled the station wagon up north to mess around for a few days.. Nothing really more then some forest roads and nasty mud.
Chelcee having some fun...
Here's what I learned,
- It's gutless and has started to run absolutely awful. Will be pull plugs and doing a compression check soon..
- Large rocks and wet tires don't mix well... lol I was playing in a creek and slipped off a good size rock and landed directly on my tie rod, pushing it almost to the diff cover... :( Thankfully dirt doesn't eat up tires so it was whatever.
- The transmission works...sometimes.. just depends on it's mood really.
- The shocks are still blown but really aired down tires help lol
- Sometimes it dies.. completely random, no rhyme or reason. When it does die, it will turn over but not fire. Both times it has happened all i did was play with wires under the hood and it eventually fired back up.
- It's fun to tear around with it and not care about scratches/body damage or if I do actually break it. It's been a while since I've had something other then a full size to wheel and I am enjoying some of the hunter trails up there that are hidden and only accessible by ATV or Jeep.
- I think It'd be a fun rig if I could get it mechanically sound. It'll never run Die Hard, but for what it is it works pretty well. Just need to decide if it's worth fixing or replacing the motor.
